DHEW team organises program to raise awareness on schemes for Women

An awareness programme was held today in the Panchayat Bhagtha by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women Reasi, under the Mission Shakti. It was organised with an aim of generating awareness about the schemes and programmes taken by the government for the upliftment and empowerment of women.

The District Mission Coordinator of DHEW Reasi, Monika Sharma addressed a large number of women during the programme. She explained to women about the initiative and programmes generated by the government regarding eligibility criteria, documentation requirements and the process to avail of the benefits under a number of schemes such as the Marriage Assistance Scheme, Women Helpline - 181, ISSS, PMMVY, BBBP, One Stop Centre, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, SBI RSETI initiated Skill development courses, PMKVY, Women Entrepreneurship programmes like Tejaswini, PMEGP, etc.

PRIs and JKRLM women also participated in the programme. The problems faced by the women who participated were also addressed and acknowledged during the programme and were promised to provide help with the assistance of the concerned department. In addition to this, pamphlets were also distributed among the participants which stated about the initiatives focused on women.
