RAPID, a Dharwad-based NGO, will host a job fair exclusively for women at the JSS campus here on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event is being organised by RAPID in collaboration with JSS SM Institute of UG and PG Studies, Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Institute, Rotary Club of Hubballi Central, and the District Skill Development Department.
Several women have been struggling to make a living, according to RAPID convener Malavika Kadkol, and the pandemic has only exacerbated their situation in the last two years. Malavika remarked, “there is an urgent need to provide jobs to needy women to enable them to lead their life with dignity and at the same time help employers get the right persons for their firms. The job fair aims to bring both employers and job aspirants face to face and help fill vacancies.”
