Devbhumi Udyam Conclave Organised to Empower Women Entrepreneurs

Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission (USRLM) organized the inaugural Devbhumi Udyam, Financing Women from Hills to Horizon conclave, in partnership with MicroSave Consulting (MSC) at Hotel Aketa. The event aimed to address the challenges women entrepreneurs in rural Uttarakhand face in scaling their businesses and improving access to finance.

Manuj Goel, IAS additional secretary of rural development & agriculture, CEO of USRLM, and project director of REAP attended the event. The event was also graced by prominent representatives from the Gates Foundation, RBI, NABARD, SLBC, and leading financial institutions, who provided valuable insights on supporting women-led enterprises.

Discussions on building an ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, improving credit access, and fostering sustainable business growth were focused at the event. The conclave also highlighted the achievements of women entrepreneurs in the region, sharing success stories and recognizing their excellence.

USRLM, operating under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, works towards alleviating poverty and creating self-employment opportunities for rural communities. Meanwhile, MSC provides solutions for financial inclusion, livelihood development, and social impact, with expertise across over 70 countries.
