The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG results were released on Tuesday evening where a female candidate from Delhi grabs fourth rank overall among other female candidates.
Mimansha Moun scored 99.99 percentile and attained the 33rd rank in the All India Rank (AIR). Candidates from Delhi started to rank from the 13th position.
Candidates from the city received 7 rankings among the top 50. Delhi has made three positions in the Top 20 categories, each with male and female candidates.
Showing concern about the decline in the performance of Delhi-based applicants in the NEET UG exam, the Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) released a statement. The resident doctors claimed that expectations of Delhi's performance were high which have fallen, despite the city being known as the hub of coaching institutes and a destination for many hopeful medical professionals.
Prabhajan J from Tamil Nadu and Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh have topped this year's NEET UG exams, both of them have received 99.99 percentile scores. Out of a total of 20.38 lakh applicants, 11.45 lakh have been selected for the exam. The most qualified students in the states are Uttar Pradesh (1.39 lakh), Maharashtra (1.31 lakh), and Rajasthan (more than 1 lakh).
