Danone Appoints Ruchika Sharma as Head of Consumer Marketing

Ruchika Sharma is set to become Head of Consumer Marketing at Danone starting in September 2025.

With 13 years in marketing across healthcare, OTC and consumer goods, Sharma’s specialty is brand building, innovation, and growing market share. She has worked for Reckitt, Abbott, Mars, Whirlpool, and 3M India.  

Most recently, Ruchika was Senior Global Brand Manager at Reckitt from December 2020 through September 2025.

While there, she led global brand strategy, wrote marketing plans for key categories, and served customers.

From May 2019 to December 2020, she worked as the Senior Brand Manager at the Consumer Health division of Abbott, Mumbai, managing OTC brands, such as Digene and Brufen, to improve market shares, with integrated 360° marketing plans.

Before that, she was Brand Manager at Mars, from July 2017 to April 2019, with a focus on developing brand strategies and programs to engage with consumers.

Ruchika worked at Whirlpool India from December 2014 to December 2016 as a Marketing Manager in Fabric Care, responsible for creating category operating plans, tracking results, and executing the go-to-market strategy.

She was also the Marketing Manager in Refrigeration at Whirlpool for a brief period from January to June 2017, specifically working on product development and price changes.

Ruchika began her professional career with 3M India, initially as Senior Area Sales Manager, Modern Trade (June 2013 – November 2014), managing key accounts and trade promotions; and prior as a Product Manager, Home Care, in Bengaluru (June 2012 – May 2013), managing the Scotch-Brite brushes range and leading new product development.
