Anjali Pandey, Cummins India's Engines and Components Business Unit Leader, was honoured at CII EXCON 2022 in Bengaluru with the coveted Committed Leader Award for her profound commitment and efforts to create a more Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive workplace.

One of Cummins' key values is diversity and inclusion, and the company is dedicated to creating a more dynamic workplace where all employees are inspired and encouraged to reach their full potential. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) is viewed by Cummins as a competitive advantage and thus a commercial requirement.

Cummins India has worked hard in recent years to enhance female representation, resulting in a considerable rise in gender diversity from 5% to 32% over the last two decades, which is a notable success for a manufacturing company. Women in Technology, gender balance during recruitment, pay parity, gender neutral workstations, the Cummins Women's Empowerment Network, flexible work arrangements, and award-winning breastfeeding-friendly facilities for new mothers are just a few of the initiatives that Cummins is driving to provide equal opportunities for women. Furthermore, Cummins India's EBU (Engine Business Unit) and CBU (Components Business Unit) divisions have reduced women attrition from 13.8 percent in 2019 to 11 percent in 2021 as a result of strong DE&I activities.

Ms. Anjali Pandey, Cummins India's Engine Business and Components Business Leader, commented on winning the CII's Committed Leader Award, “Diversity & Inclusion is not just the right to thing to do; it is the right way of running the business by fully capitalizing on the value that diversity can bring. I believe that it is critical to our ability to innovate and win in the market. At Cummins, it is clearly a business imperative. We constantly encourage everyone to achieve their full potential by providing meaningful work opportunities and building inclusive and equitable teams to create better outcomes for our stakeholders. I am grateful to CII EXCON for honoring me with this distinguished award since it is a true reflection of our efforts of creating a workplace where our people “Win with the power of difference”.

At CII Excon 2022, Cummins India Limited displayed its cutting-edge solutions for the construction equipment market. The exhibition also marked the start of Cummins' 60-year campaign in India, which aims to honour the company's past while also fulfilling its brand promise of making the world a better place for its stakeholders. For more than 60 years in India, and more than 100 years abroad, the firm has been a premier power solution provider.
