CTU Offers Free Travel for Women on Raksha Bandhan as a Token of Appreciation

The Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has announced that women can travel for free on Raksha Bandhan, which falls on August 30. As a nod to the significant role women play in society and as an expression of appreciation for the community's unwavering support, the CTU is extending this special offer. The free travel privilege is exclusively available on all regular CTU bus routes within the city limits during the standard operating hours on the festive day.

The initiative aims to not only celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan but also to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of women to every facet of life. By offering free travel, the CTU is recognizing their integral role and extending a heartwarming gesture as a token of their appreciation.

It's important to note that this free travel provision is applicable solely on the city's regular CTU bus routes and will not be extended to long-route buses.

As August 30 approaches, women in Chandigarh can take advantage of this opportunity to travel across the city and celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their loved ones. This thoughtful initiative not only highlights the CTU's commitment to its passengers but also reinforces the spirit of togetherness and gratitude during festive occasions.

In a press release, the CTU expressed its sentiment behind this endeavor, emphasizing the collective effort and support that shape the community. This gesture underscores the CTU's dedication to fostering a sense of unity and recognizing the essential role that women play in the fabric of society.

As the city prepares to celebrate the bond between siblings, this initiative adds a touch of warmth and inclusivity to the festivities, creating an opportunity for women to traverse the city with ease and connect with their loved ones on this special occasion.
