The Congress scheduled marathons for women on December 26 in Lucknow and Jhansi as part of their political campaign "Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon," which focuses on women in Uttar Pradesh.
Mamata Choudhary, the president of the UP Congress's women's branch, said, “the first three winners in both the marathons will be awarded a scooty, and those coming fourth to 25th will get a smartphone each. The next 100 will get fitness bands, while the next 1,000 women will get medals.”
Despite the fact that the minimum age for participation has been set at 16, the party has said that there would be no admission fees. She added, “the registration process will be done online as well by submitting the form.”
The Lucknow marathon will begin at 8 a.m., near the junction of 1090. In Lucknow, the marathon will be kicked off by actor and sports personality Mandira Bedi and Congress politician Rajiv Shukla.
