In acknowledgement of India's dedication to inclusive growth, The Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) will host their first National Conference entitled 'Sashakt Nari, Vikast Bharat' on 26 February 2026 at The Hyatt Hotel In New Delhi.
This daylong Conference will bring together senior decision-makers from the Government Sector, Academic Sector, Industry Sector, and Policy-Making Bodies to review progress made against Goal 2 of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as well to determine an action plan to achieve Goal 2.
The purpose of the conference will be to assess progress made towards CRF's focus areas of research such as Climate Change, Economic Growth, Industry Competitiveness, Global Political Relations, National Security, Governance, and Infrastructure Development, while also highlighting the importance of creating an effective strategy and environment for increasing the role of women in driving economic growth in India.
The advancements made by women over the past decade through initiatives like Beti Bachao Beti Padhau and Digital India, for instance, are incredible.
Women are now more educated, financially included, employed, digitally connected and technologically sound than ever before. This increased accessibility will serve as the basis for increasing female participation in workforce and economic contributions into the Indian economy.
Creating practical routes for women to participate in and contribute towards the workforce and economic contributions, are vital to aiding the Hon'ble Prime Minister's goal of a 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India) by the year of 2047, characterised by the creation of a just, fair and equal society for all.
“Paper equality is not enough without focus on implementation and bringing about change,” said Shishir Priyadarshi, President of CRF.
The conference will commence with an address by the Chief Guest, Hon'ble Minister of Women and Child Development, Annpurna Devi, followed by an address by Guest of Dr. Priti Adani.
A special session on women in cinema will discuss the transition from representation to authorship and leadership in storytelling, and the increasing recognition of women-led Indian cinematic projects at the global level.
