By: Women Entrepreneurs Review Team | Thursday, 9 July 2026
Burns & McDonnell India hosted Women Leading the Future of Engineering, a leadership forum co-curated with NASSCOM that brought together 17 women leaders from global capability centers across India for a candid discussion on the future of engineering, artificial intelligence and women’s leadership in technical fields.
Anagha Dalal, Head of Process Department, Oil, Gas & Chemical, Burns & McDonnell India, guided the forum and provided an opportunity for the women leaders to share their thoughts on making the engineering profession more inclusive, accessible and future ready.
The theme of Engineering Intelligence was discussed in the context of how technology, human judgment and new technologies can be applied together to help address complex business and engineering challenges. The panelists spoke about the impact of AI on the role of the engineer in problem solving, moving from an execution to a problem definition and validation, systems thinking and ethical decision making.
Trust can be earned by leaders like us, when we are able to offer that support to the teams around us, we can all thrive, says Parul Gopal, chief administrative officer, Burns & McDonnell India. “This type of forum can foster the environment where women leaders can share their experiences, question assumptions, and gain the courage to do what's next.”
