- It seeks to enable women to make a significant contribution to BRICS+ economic development and cooperation
The Organising Committee of the II BRICS Forum "Traditional Values" has declared a major collaboration with the BRICS Women's Business Alliance (WBA) and its UAE Chapter. This partnership has opened an important way for Emirati women leaders and entrepreneurs to shape the economic cooperation future in BRICS+ countries.
Established in 2020, the WBA and its UAE Chapter enables women entrepreneurs to reach BRICS+ markets, further solidifying the UAE's status as the world's hub for inclusive trade and innovation.
The involvement of the Alliance in the Forum follows an official invitation extended by Fausto Pinato, President of the BRICS Parliamentary Front (Brazil) to Monica Monteiro, Chairperson of the Brazilian Chapter of the WBA. As a partner organization, the WBA shall co-organize a high-level roundtable on corporate governance, international trade, sustainable investment, and business development by women. The UAE Chapter will provide crucial insights in sync with the vision of the UAE for economic growth that is gender-sensitive.
Aside from this roundtable, the WBA will actively support the Forum's business agenda. Its brand will be placed on all Forum official materials, reinforcing its visibility and role.
Monica Monteiro said:
"It is our privilege to be a member of the II BRICS Forum 'Traditional Values'. The role of women in economic and social progress is the key to the creation of stable societies and the strengthening of international cooperation. This alliance paves the way for effective joint projects within the BRICS society."
Boris Tarasov, President of the International Association "True Values" and author of the idea of the BRICS Forum "Traditional Values," supplemented:
"It is a milestone to welcome the WBA as a partner. Their experience adds depth to the Forum's business dialogue and gives voice to critical conversations regarding the women's role in economic and humanitarian contexts. The diversity and professionalism of the Alliance will add richness greatly to our discussion."
The II BRICS Forum "Traditional Values" will be held on 15–17 September 2025 at Brazil's National Congress in Brasília. With the theme "Uniting Traditions, Strengthening Nations," the Forum will gather government, business, cultural, and civil society leaders from BRICS and partner countries to discuss cooperation in education, healthcare, innovation, AI, creative industries, and sustainability—all based on the common traditional values of the BRICS countries.
