  • The Government of Canada has appointed Bree Jamieson-Holloway as chairperson of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal
  • She had been serving as acting chairperson since December 31, 2025

The Canadian Government appointed Bree Jamieson-Holloway as the Chairperson of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, with her term ending December 4th, 2027. Bree Jamison-Holloway was Vice Chairperson on December 5th, 2022, and subsequently became the Acting Chairperson.

Prior to her appointment to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, Bree worked as the Managing Lawyer at Jamieson Law, a boutique business law practice she started in January 2017 which then rebranded to Gowling WLG on November 8th, 2022.

Bree was previously Co-Founding CEO of Nurtured Life Co. from September 2017 to July 2020 and Partner at Momentum Business Law, where she worked from October 2018 to July 2020.

She has extensive experience in working with various types of businesses that have operations both within Canada as well as outside of Canada and has worked with many business communities in the UK and more specifically, in London and Hong Kong.

Outside of her job obligations, Bree participates in various forms of personal development such as community service mentoring others; furthermore, she has collaborated with many different types of organizations that seek to promote diversity & inclusion.

The announcement regarding Jamieson-Holloway's appointment was made by Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne on March 19, 2026. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is an incorporated, quasi-independent agency that submits reports directly to the Canadian Parliament through the Finance Minister.

The role of CITT is to process matters related to subsidy disputes, hear appeals regarding certain procurements from the administrations; conduct investigations and inquiries into safeguarded goods against imports; provide expert opinion related to economic matters; among other responsibilities assigned to it under Canadian law.
