BJP Releases Manifesto Ensuring Women's Empowerment ahead of Jharkhand Assembly Elections

By: WE Staff | Monday, 4 November 2024

The BJP has released its manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections regarding empowering and uplifting the needs of state residents. It promises to provide two free LPG cylinders and gas cylinders at Rs 500 to women under the Laxmi Johar Yojana, create 287,000 government jobs, and offer 500,000 self-employment opportunities. The manifesto mentions the 'Gogo Didi' scheme that assures offering Rs 2,100 per month along with providing concrete homes and tap water connections to 21 lakh families.

The BJP's manifesto includes a monthly stipend of Rs 2,000 for youth entering the workforce for two years, a Sidho-Kanho research center, a Rehabilitation Commission, and strict laws to prevent illegal land encroachment, reflecting its focus on development and security in Jharkhand supporting the marginalized communities. The manifesto pledges to reclaim tribal land, exclude tribal communities from the Urban Civil Code, and act against paper leaks. It aims to fill 2,87,500 government positions with transparency and publish an annual examination calendar, with recruitment starting in the first cabinet meeting.

The Jharkhand state elections will take place in two phases on November 13 and 20, with results expected on November 23. Home Minister of India, Amit Shah released the manifesto in Ranchi mentioning, "During Hemant Soren's government, the tribals of Jharkhand are not safe. The number of tribals in Santhal Pargana is continuously decreasing. Infiltrators are coming here and luring our daughters and marrying them occupying the land. If this is not stopped, then neither the culture of Jharkhand, nor employment, land, or daughters here will be safe. That is why the BJP is moving ahead with the slogan of securing 'Roti, Beti, Maati.'
