Vivek Bhardwaj, additional chief secretary for finance, industries and commerce, opened a seven-day Hausla exhibition and sale in Zabarwan Park.
A comprehensive programme called HAUSLA- inspiring her growth was introduced last year by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to encourage female entrepreneurship in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Department of Industries & Commerce and J&K Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) are working together to prepare the week-long exhibition and sale, which will include a number of female entrepreneurs selling their goods.
The ACS looked over every booth set up by the female entrepreneurs and spoke with them to learn more about their experiences starting and running businesses.
Bhardwaj praised JKTPO and the female entrepreneurs who are participating in the exhibition and sale while addressing at the event.
In his special presentation, he argued that India is a distinctive nation with customs and crafts that date back thousands of years. He added that we should cherish this distinction, which is being carried on by these Hausla women.
According to the ACS, people are aware of the hardships these female entrepreneurs have faced and they are proud of them in society once they have achieved some level of success. Once a woman has achieved this level of success, she serves as an example for the entire family.
Devnash Yadav, the managing director of JKTPO, Athar Amir Khan, the commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mehmood A Shah, the director of industries and commerce in Kashmir, and Syed Haneef Balkhi, the additional deputy commissioner of Srinagar, among others, were also present.
