Bandhan Bank introduces Women-Specific Debit Card & Loyalty Program

Bandhan Bank is launching a women-specific debit card and loyalty program, the Avni debit card, in collaboration with Mastercard. The initiative aims to increase the bank's customer base by offering benefits like accident insurance and discounts on locker rentals. The bank also plans to introduce a loyalty program called Bandhan Delights, allowing customers to earn reward points. This move aligns with the banking sector's trend to offer customized solutions.
Bandhan Bank's Managing Director and CEO (interim), Ratan Kumar Kesh emphasized the importance of women in the leader's journey, launching the Avni debit card to provide women with various benefits specifically savings accounts. The card will be availed with a minimum balance of Rs, 25,000. He plans to reduce funding costs and increase the CASA ratio by targeting a customer base of 3.49 crore, with 73 per cent of them being women.
From a Micro Finance Institution (MFI) to becoming a Universal Banker, Bandhan Bank has strongly established itself since its inception in 2015. Rajinder Kumar Babbar, ED, and Chief Business Officer, of Bandhan Bank, mentioned that they plan to introduce innovative women's products in the coming days. The Avni debit card offers financial security for women, while discounts on services like locker rentals and loyalty programs like Bandhan Delights help save money. Tailored financial products promote financial independence and empower women. Specialized banking products cater to the unique needs of women entrepreneurs.
