Bacardi expands 'Shake Your Future' Program for Indian Women in Bartending

Bacardi, international spirits company, declared to expand its ‘Shake Your Future’ free training program. Its aim is to help and assist unemployed and underrepresented young adults in building their careers in the mixology.
The free program organized a cohort for Indian women in order to alter the outlook of women in the bar industry. The program provides the opportunity for women of India to learn necessary skillsets in bartending industry.
Founder of Bar Kala Academy, Nitin Tewari is reason behind the success of this initiative since the company collaborated with him. He is a hospitality professional and a TED-Talk speaker.
To upskill the all-female class about bartending, the training sessions has been organized in Bar Kala Academy. The classes covered topics that includes: Beverage basics; Mixology; Flairing; Complementary business areas (personal branding, social media and communication, industry insights).
Moreover, the female attendees of this Shake Your Future program are now working at significant hotels. Amongst female qualifiers, there’s one woman who got crowned as the winner of GREY GOOSE® House of Change India bartending competition as well.
This ‘Shake Your Future’ program has defied the typecasts while assisting females in bartending to thrive for more and strengthen their careers.
