Ari Work Conference 2025 Sets World Record with 5K+ Women Workers' Attendance

- The event seeks to empower and acknowledge the efforts of Aari workers
In a record-breaking event, Dr. Aravind Lakshminarayanan, popularly called Yoga Aravind, World's Youngest Corporate CEO has successfully organized the first International Aari Workers Conference - 2025 at V.V. Vanniyaperumal College for Women, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. This historical gathering is the world's first international reunion of Aari workers and is a great leap in honoring and empowering this ancient craft industry.
The record conclave, organized by the Tamil Nadu Aari Workers Council (TNAWC) and the Indian Aari Workers Federation (IAWF), united 5,000 women artisans with a Guinness World Record for "Most Women Performing Aari Work Design under the Theme of Gender Equality in 1.5 Hours." The record is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. five - Gender Equality with an emphasis on the promotion of economic empowerment for women.
Under this empowerment program, 100 specially chosen participants received 1-gram gold coins, 20-gram silver coins, and other award prizes to enable them to start their own small businesses. This program is aimed at empowering and economically uplifting women who are engaged in Aari work.
World record holder Dr. Aravind Lakshminarayanan was earlier conferred the title of "World's Youngest Corporate CEO of Multiple Companies at the Age of 22" in 2022. Now aged 25, he continues with his meaningful social activities, positively influencing more than one lakh women through various empowerment initiatives spearheaded by his organizations.
This occasion is a landmark in Aari work and women's history, making the Indian Aari Workers Federation the only organization dedicated to promoting the welfare of Aari workers all over the world.
