At a celebration conducted at St Ann's Engineering College for Women in Budamapadu on Tuesday, the AP Mahila Commission, in collaboration with the Spandana Eda International Foundation, released 'Swatantra- fearless, independence to girl children and women.'

Vasireddy Padma, Chairperson of the AP Mahila Commission, said the state government has been implementing many steps for women's empowerment so that they can achieve their objectives and dreams. According to Padma, the AP Mahila Commission has launched a number of creative programmes aimed at building self-confidence and raising awareness among girl children and women. The Swatantra programme was developed as part of it to inspire girls and women to be courageous and free to pursue their goals.

She claimed that under the initiative, female children and women will be taught about their rights and how to use "responsible freedom" to achieve their goals without fear. Padma further stated that women are developing in every field by utilising all of the opportunities available to them, since the sky is the limit for them. Similarly, the Mahila Commission chief stated that women should have a role in reducing crime against women by cooperating with the state government, which is providing all essential help to achieve gender equality.

Chairman of the Spandana Eda International Foundation Samuel Reddy believes that girls should be taught about human rights and women's rights from an early age. Parents should also provide a welcoming environment for their children, allowing them to share everything with them.
