Amazon India has partnered with four organisations as part of its Amazon Saheli programme to help women entrepreneurs thrive across the country.

The Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM), the Chhattisgarh State Forest Department (CG Forest), and the Assam Rural Infrastructure and Agricultural Services(ARIAS) are among these organisations .

According to a statement, Amazon and the government authorities will work together to help and empower lakhs of women entrepreneurs from the four states to register their businesses with Amazon India and gain access to a larger market.

The Amazon Saheli programme will provide thorough training and skill development workshops to its participants in order to enable women entrepreneurs grasp the complexities of online selling and develop the skills and competencies required to expand their businesses on Amazon.in.

Product listing, imaging and cataloguing, packaging and shipping, inventory and account management, and customer service are all covered in these training programmes.

Amazon.in developed a special WED marketplace with a selection of products made available by women-owned enterprises in honour of Women's Entrepreneurship Day.

Customers will be able to browse and purchase about 98,000 unique products from categories such as handicrafts, handloom, fashion accessories, and groceries at the WED shop.

"In line with our commitment to digitise one Crore MSMEs by 2025, we are proud to announce that we are collaborating with leading government bodies, including UPSRLM in Uttar Pradesh, ARIAS in Assam, CG Forest in Chhattisgarh, and JSLPS in Jharkhand to directly impact and empower lakhs of women entrepreneurs across the four states," Amazon India Director, Seller Partner Services, Sumit Sahay said.

He stated, "By providing a comprehensive suite of marketplace services and continuing support, the organisation intends to encourage and empower women entrepreneurs who cultivate the ambition of beginning something of their own and help them unleash their true potential."
