39 Women Entrepreneurs to Compete in the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition Semifinals

Between December 12 and December 14 in Hyderabad, TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), a well-known NPO dedicated to the development of entrepreneurs, will hold its flagship Entrepreneurship Summit, the TiE Global Summit. Mr. K T Rama Rao, Minister of IT, Industries & Commerce for the Government of Telangana, Mr. Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe Systems, and Mr. Anil Kumar Chalamalasetty, CEO & MD of Greenko Group are scheduled to attend the event's opening. The TiE Global Summit, dubbed the "Largest Entrepreneurship Summit," will draw 2500 attendees, 550+ TiE charter members from 17 different countries, 150+ global speakers, and 200+ investors. The founder of multiple unicorns and seasoned businessman Mr. Kiran Patel will give a special keynote address during the event.

TGS'22 aims to promote the need for entrepreneurial acceleration and growth by fusing the ideas and aspirations of various entrepreneurs. Over the past five years, a number of quickly expanding unicorns have changed the way companies run and develop. TiE Global Summit will feature speakers from Udaan.com, Urban Ladder, Bira 91, Droom, and ShopClues among others in recognition of the need to impart the joy of entrepreneurship from such unicorn builders. 39 female entrepreneurs will compete in the semifinals of the TiE Women Global Pitch Competition during the Global Summit with a specific focus on women's entrepreneurship. Six of these firms will be shortlisted, and at the finals, they will present a live pitch. The winner will get USD $100,000 from TiE.

The Vice Chairman of TiE Global and Co-Chair of the TiE Global Summit 2022, Mr. Murali Bukkapatnam, commented on the Summit, saying, “We are delighted to welcome the trailblazing phenomenon that TiE Global Summit is. Backed by the impact created by TiE and its events such as TiE Global Summit, TiE has cemented its position as a catalyst for the development of international entrepreneurial ecosystem”.

Numerous mentor sessions, investor sessions, incubator showcases, and university pitch fests will also be held at the global summit. Over 6000 formal investor engagements will take place over the course of the two-day TiE Global Summit, ensuring that each of the 300–400 startups in attendance has at least three meetings with influential investors.
