Thirty women veterinarians and entrepreneurs from different parts of India were recognised at the Indian Pet Industry Awards for their contributions to animal welfare and veterinary clinical care. The awards celebrated women who have made a meaningful impact through their professional work and dedication to animal health.
Minister of State Prof S P Singh Baghel presented the awards at a ceremony held in the Capital on Saturday evening. The event brought together professionals and leaders from across the country’s growing pet care and veterinary sector.
The awardees included Dr Sunita Nauriyal from Delhi, Drs Amrita Deb and Noopur Desai from Mumbai, Dr Niranjana C from Chennai, Dr Ranjitha Tiwari from Hyderabad, Dr Archana Bapat from Thane, Dr Shilpa from Himachal Pradesh, and Dr Leila Fernandez from Pune.
Held under themes including “Women Shaping the Future,” the event recognised the compassion, expertise and commitment of women working in veterinary medicine and the pet industry. It also highlighted the growing role of women in advancing animal healthcare and welfare across India.
