Second, all women-operated stores were announced on Tuesday by Volkswagen Passenger Cars India. The second store was established in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Volkswagen India has collaborated with the Automark Group to launch this initiative. Last year, the first store was launched in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The aim of this initiative is to empower women leading to automotive workforce and to promote diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

The store will comprise a team of more than 10 skilled women professionals who will take care of the overall duties and business operations at the store and fulfill the customer requirements. They will handle every aspect of the business including operations, customer care services, security, sales, and after-sales service to test drive management, housekeeping, and more.

The location of the showroom is SP Ring Road, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The showroom will feature four cars on display including Taigun, Tiguan, and Virtus. These are the latest product portfolio from the carmaker.

The newly launched store of Volkswagen India will provide a more engaging environment to the customers which they also provide at the first all-women store. According to the firm, the higher engagement levels any workforce can offer come from the evolving consumer demographics and consumer behavior.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India stated that this store will become an inspiration to women professionals and implement an urge to join their car retail industry. This initiative will create and promote an inclusive environment where people can learn, grow, and thrive with the brand.

The largest all-women workforce in India apart from Volkswagen India is Tata Motors. Tata provides a striving workforce diversity at its new Omega Factory. The store is situated at Pimpri Chinchwad plant in Maharashtra.
