At Shivpuri, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would assist 20,000 women self-help groups from throughout the state in the Jan Kalyan and Suraj Abhiyan women empowerment programme. Chouhan would give bank loans worth Rs 2050 crore to these communities through credit linkage.
A food allowance of Rs 22.77 crore would be handed to 2 lakh 27 thousand 687 women of the Saharia, Baiga, and Bharia tribes, as well as a relief amount of Rs 163.28 crore to flood victims. With a simple click, the Chief Minister will disburse the funds.
Approximately 10,000 women from self-help groups will take part in the programme, and a big number of women from all districts will watch the broadcast via virtual means. It's worth noting that a food subsidy programme for the particular backward tribes has been launched. Sheopur, Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Datia, Shahdol, Umaria, Anuppur, Chhindwara, Mandla, Balaghat, and Dindori are among the 14 districts where these tribes' families live. Every month, Rs 1,000 is deposited into the accounts of these families.
It is worth noting that roughly 2.65 lakh self-help organisations have benefited from bank loans totaling Rs 2,054 crore since the launch of the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission till August 31, 2021.
Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development and Shivpuri district in-charge Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Minister of State for Public Works Suresh Dhakad, and other local public representatives will also participate in the programme.
The state government is holding a series of events from September 17 to October 7 under the Jan Kalyan and Suraj Abhiyan initiatives.
In this vein, a state-level programme for women's empowerment will be held in Shivpuri on October 1.
