In an effort to promote peace and well-being on a worldwide scale, the Indian Women in Dubai and Expo City 2020 worked with the Consulate General of Dubai to commemorate the International Day of Yoga.
At Expo City 2020's Opportunity Pavilion, participants in the workshop received a practical introduction to the historical discipline of yoga. During the programme, qualified yoga instructors from the Art of Living Foundation guided attendees through a selection of yoga asanas, pranayama, and guided meditations. In the courses, the benefits of stress-free living and yoga for the body, mind, and spirit were underlined.
Dr. Aman Puri, the Indian Consul General, participated heartily in the International Day of Yoga events at Expo City 2020. Dr. Aman stressed the value of yoga both personally and globally in his message to the gathering and asked everyone to recommit to the exercise. He stressed the global nature of World Yoga Day and praised the UAE for supporting the success of local events. As yoga is an Indian gift to humanity, Dr. Aman urged guests to spread the word about its importance and benefits.
Dr. Aman highlighted how yoga is more than just a series of physical positions or asanas by referring to it as a way of life. He stressed how yoga has a positive impact on general welfare and advised people to educate their friends and family about its advantages in order to make the world a healthier and better place. The celebration of the International Day of Yoga proved that yoga is a holistic way of life and encompasses more than simply physical practise. The ancient Indian practise of yoga has evolved over many years and promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Reema Mahajan, the founder of the Indian Women in Dubai, expressed her joy at the partnership while stressing the profound insight that yoga brings individuals. Mahajan stressed the practice's transformative qualities by highlighting how yoga may help one become more self-aware.
Building on the success of the present event, the Indian Consulate General in Dubai, Skyline University in Sharjah, and the Sports Council Sharjah have arranged a larger-scale event on June 18, 2023. The upcoming event aims to draw 5,000 residents, including front-line staff and noteworthy personalities, in order to conduct yoga demonstrations.
The Art of Living Foundation, Expo City 2020, the Consulate General in Dubai, and the Indian Women in Dubai all reaffirmed their commitment to carrying out ongoing cooperative projects to promote yoga all year long.
