Sravani Sundeep: An Epitome Of Growth Mindset

Entrepreneurship might seem to be an easy path when you believe in your unique idea. But once you are in, you get to realize the road to success is not that smooth. Building something of your own comes with huge risk and there is no guarantee of success. That being said, it is also easy to succumb to failures. It takes a highly determined and optimistic soul to sustain those difficult times and keep moving. Successful entrepreneurs are real go-getters. Despite the challenges, they firmly believe in themselves, move forward with their ideas, and eventually scale to success.

An ideal example of such a personality is Sravani Sundeep, Founder & CEO of Apna Writer. Apna Writer is a content marketing and content writing firm based out of Trivandrum, Kerala. They offer content for websites, blogs, emails, press releases, social media, advertisements, and many more. Interestingly, the company is Sravani’s second attempt at entrepreneurship and in this interaction with Women Entrepreneur, she shares more on how her previous experiences guided her and her venture to success.

What motivated you to establish Apna Writer? Tell us about the underlying idea behind the company and some of its most unique features.

I always had an entrepreneurial streak in me but was unsure how to start my journey. It was not until I began doing freelance writing gigs, I found that the current content writing platforms that provide projects had many loopholes that need to be addressed. This is where I decided to take action on my dream to create something of my own. Thus, I incorporated my first startup company - a platform that connects publishers and skilled writers.

Unfortunately, that company became my first and hopefully the last unsuccessful entrepreneurial adventure. Even though it was a failure from a business perspective, the learning experience those four years granted me was invaluable. I educated myself on many business systems and processes and gained a good foundation in the various aspects of entrepreneurship. The culmination of those experiences helped me to bounce back and incept Apna Writer.

"What makes apna writer stand out from the rest is its business values, ethics & ecosystem"

Apna Writer focuses on delivering quality content that can effortlessly communicate and connect with our client's target audience. Thanks to our skilled team of thinkers, writers, and editors, we always deliver top-notch content in various formats as per the demands of the clients.

What are some of the most pressing challenges that you encounter while creating audience centric writing? How do you successfully mitigate these challenges?

If there is one thing I learned from my first venture, it is that the crucial factor that leads a business to success is understanding your clients. Even though I intended to create a platform for publishers and writers, I failed to deliver quality content due to the lack of skilled writers on my team. My biggest challenge was to discover such good writers who can produce top-notch content. When it came to Apna Writer, I made sure to focus on finding skilled writers who understand the significance of the work they do, and needless to say, it has made all the difference. Today, we are doing great in terms of business and our growth has been organic right from the inception without any paid marketing strategies. I believe this is all because our clients are happy with our service and hence they became the spokespersons for our brand. We began to get new clients through referrals and we intend to exponentially increase that effect by leaving no stone unturned to satisfy our clients.

In your opinion what are some of the most significant milestones that you have achieved throughout your professional journey?

What makes Apna Writer stand out from the rest is its business values, ethics, and ecosystem. We always prioritize our clients. Thus, we engage in deep conversations with them to understand their specific requirements and expectations and their experiences with previous content service providers. Such discussions help us to understand the issues they faced and to offer better services. This is how we follow our business model - we listen, we understand and we serve.

The backbone of Apna Writer is its brilliant team of competent writers, editors, and project managers. Their hard work and dedication have made us one of the leading content writing service providers in the country. Our team puts their heart and soul into every project and serves the clients in a more sophisticated and professional way. Our services, budget management, and customer-centric approach have retained almost 95 percent of our clients. This is a considerable achievement for Apna Writer. Besides, we never had to rely on public marketing strategies because our work speaks on our behalf.

What would your advice be to young women and girls who also aspire to become business leaders and entrepreneurs in the future?

My sincere advice for the upcoming generation of businesswomen is to never invest in your startup ideas because of your negative job experiences or even a bad boss. The driving factor for your entrepreneurship journey must be the 'Why' behind your idea. Once you figure that out, do whatever it takes to fulfill that 'Why'.

Most importantly, make sure to understand your market, your audience, their major pain points, their expectations, and the transformation they are looking for, and then come up with a solution that can address all those issues. Also, remember to spend every penny wisely.
