Ace Law is a prominent law firm with extensive experience in the immigration sector with a focus on delivering exceptional service quality. The firm's lawyers provide expert immigration assistance, reflecting their dedication to excellence. Let’s read to know more.
Tell us about your educational journey. What motivated you to foray into the field of law?
My journey into law wasn't a planned path but rather an unexpected turn. I started college at Delhi University, but then decided I wanted to pursue something more professional. When I considered law, I realized I was drawn to the contractual and regulatory aspects. I have always enjoyed handling people and addressing their issues. I also recognized that my strength lies in problem-solving. And I am very solution-oriented and always maintain a positive outlook, even in challenging situations. These qualities, coupled with my skills, led me to believe that a career in law would be a fitting choice for me. I completed my undergraduate studies at Delhi University and later on graduated with a law degree. My professional journey included practising law and gaining valuable experience. I had the opportunity to practise alongside the well-distinguished senior lawyers in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. Eventually, I decided to relocate to Canada to continue my legal career.
What areas of expertise have you cultivated as a legal professional?
I primarily focus on contracts and business law, with extensive experience guiding clients on the best types of businesses for them, establishing them, and navigating the regulatory requirements. Additionally, I specialize in Canadian immigration law, assisting clients with various immigration programs, including business immigration. I also handle cases involving refusals or rejections, representing clients in the Federal Court of Canada. My practice mainly revolves around business and immigration law, both in Canada and the Middle East.
Stay optimistic, as the energy you project is the energy you attract
What inspired you to find Ace Law? Could you share the core concept behind the venture and its main areas of expertise?
The idea behind establishing my law firm, Ace Law, stemmed from my belief that I thrive better as an independent practitioner, particularly after gaining significant experience. I wanted the freedom to set my working hours, which was a primary motivation. Additionally, I recognized my strong business acumen and didn't want to miss the opportunity to explore it fully. Ace Law was created not only to allow me to work independently but also to leverage my business skills beyond just legal practice. As the firm has grown, I've expanded by bringing in panel lawyers to offer a broader range of services. So, while I continue to provide legal services, the firm has evolved into a more diversified business.
What do you consider to be some of the most significant challenges you face as a legal professional? How do you address and overcome these obstacles?
The first major challenge I've encountered is the dependency on government policies and administration. In the legal profession, particularly in areas like immigration law, your work is heavily influenced by the policies in place. These policies can significantly impact your practice. Secondly, managing client expectations is a significant challenge. Unlike doctors, where patients often understand the uncertainty of outcomes, clients in the legal field tend to expect guaranteed results after paying fees. However, the law doesn't offer such certainties—outcomes can be unpredictable. To address this, I make it a point to have open, direct conversations with my clients. I handle all client communications personally, ensuring that there is no communication gap. This approach has helped me navigate and overcome many complex situations by maintaining clear and honest communication with my clients.
What has been your key to success over the years?
My success mantra is to always remember that whatever challenges you're facing today, whether you're not making money, dealing with tough situations, or feeling that life isn't going as planned, these are all temporary. Even when you achieve success, never stop working hard. The difference between those who simply achieve success and those who retain it lies in continuous effort. It's also important not to let either success or tough times get to your head. Neither is permanent, everything is temporary.
What is your advice for aspiring women leaders?
As for advice to aspiring leaders, especially women, I believe that education is the most valuable asset you can have. In some societies, there may still be outdated views on the role of women, but in metropolitan areas, we've moved past that. However, it's still relevant in other regions. I would encourage girls to prioritize education, as it not only provides exposure but also brings financial independence. With financial stability, you gain the freedom to make your own choices without being accountable to anyone else. This independence strengthens your position in life. So, my key advice is to focus on education and financial stability, and never compromise on these values.
