Give us a brief overview of Biotric Pharma.

Biotric Pharma was established in the year 2018 as a wholesale trader quality assured range of Pharmaceutical Medicines. The product range offered includes Pharmaceutical Capsules, Pharmaceutical Injection and Pharmaceutical Tablets. The primary mission of our company is to produce medicines that can be made available to the common man at affordable rates. These medicines are processed using superior quality ingredients at the vendor's base under hygienic conditions and are widely demanded by the customers.

Our infrastructure base is further divided into various departments such as formulation, quality testing, R & D, sales and marketing, etc. With the support of our skilled workforce, we are able to undertake bulk & urgent orders of clients in an efficient manner.

Tell us more about your role as the CEO of Biotric Pharma.

Being a CEO of a company entails wearing different hats at a time which includes handling many responsibilities across different departments including sales, purchase, store manager, pharmacist, dispatching accounts legal, HR, etc. It also includes meetings with the Director, handling issues of creditors and setting a target for the company..

“I have stepped out of my comfort zone with every new job and that’s what has given me the required experience to be able to lead a company”

Throw some light on the different pharmaceutical products that Biotric Pharma deals in currently. What makes the company and its services one of a kind?

We basically deal in life saving critical care medicines like, anti-cancer, anti-HIV, nephrology, and antibiotics. We are a dealer, wholesaler, retailer, importer and exporter of all these medicines all over India and across the world.

What are some facets of your personality that have helped you in leading Biotric Pharma from the frontlines?

Never stick to a role! It is important to widen your horizon and learn about different departments and their functioning. Your career should not be defined by your ‘job description’. It should be dynamic and that’s when you become a great leader. Being a leader requires you to be the ‘jack of all trades. Personally, that’s what I have done with my career. I have stepped out of my comfort zone with every new job and that’s what has given me the required experience to be able to lead a company. I also believe that ‘knowledge is everywhere’, sometimes it's the seniors leading the way and sometimes it can be from someone reporting to you. It's important to not underestimate and know that everyone will teach you something new.

As a business leader how do you keep yourself aligned with the periodic evolutions occurring in the life science and pharma landscape?

Handing a business is a new task every day. When unpredictable situations arise, we have to keep ourselves mentally prepared, we have to use our sense of humour at the right time and we have to sometimes be very quick in making decisions. And I think it's important to be an avid reader when being a leader. There is so much knowledge wrapped in them, so much to learn that helps you be updated with the latest ‘ins and outs’ of the industry.

Leading a firm from the front is often a time consuming and tough job. How do you manage to strike a balance between your work and home life?

For me work and health has always been my priority. And I have been fortunate because I have been blessed with a family, so supportive and caring. To manage this much touted work life balance, I manage time. Punctuality is the key to getting things done on time.

What would your words of advice be to young women aspiring to foray into the field of pharma & life sciences?

Just be open to learning. It's a lifelong process. Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Take risks, make mistakes, you will definitely learn and succeed.
