Preeta Saxena: A Technology-Driven Leader Creating Innovative Hr Interventions That Add Value To Organizations

Preeta Saxena
Human Resources Director, Teachmint Technologies

The use of digital and other resources to improve corporate operations has altered as a result of advances in technology. No corporate function has been more profoundly affected by technological advancements than human resources. Today's industry leaders use cutting-edge human resources technology to recruit and hire new workers, improve employee retention, and assist workplace management and administration. Taking this into account, Preeta Saxena, HR Director at Teachmint Technologies, believes that technology may provide demonstrable outcomes by boosting the efficiency and speed of both management and the teams they oversee.

Preeta is a firm believer in the power of technology to make HR interventions possible at any stage of the business's lifecycle. Because of her military background, Preeta learned early on that adapting to new environments and people was an essential ability for a successful career. It's her early experiences at the cantonment, where she developed a strong feeling of belonging and teamwork, that inspire Preeta to strive constantly and bring those teachings to the business world in overseas markets. For her part, Preeta has worked as an HR professional in a variety of established firms and start-ups across multiple sectors after completing her Masters in HR and IT.

Engaging in an exclusive interaction with Women Entrepreneur magazine, Preeta spoke about her journey and experiences as the HR industry leader.

What Are Some Important Features Of Your Expertise As An Hr Professional?

I have a strong commitment to helping others and a track record of success in creating work environments that bring out the best in individuals, not just in one-off instances but consistently.

A firm believer in bringing humanity back into human resources and putting people first. Designing interventions that leverage emotional intelligence (EQ) to boost productivity and employee engagement as well as managing crucial workplace relationships are two of my many strengths. I consider HR must encourage organizational excellence and agility across all departments so that all teams may learn and continually develop and take on new strategic imperatives quicker and easier. Embracing constant change is the only way to thrive in today's world!

Tell Us About The Various Roles And Responsibilities That You Shoulder As The Human Resources Director For Teachmint Technologies. What Are The Primary Focus Areas In Your Current Role?

As the first HR person to join Teachmint Technologies, I was responsible for building systems and procedures to support the company's growth over the full employee lifecycle. In only 11 months, we went from a 75-person team to an 800+ workforce. As a bonus, the company was named a Great Place to Work in its first year.

What Are Some Of The Most Pressing Challenges That You Encounter In Your Current Role? How Do You Successfully Mitigate These Challenges?

We're Ed-Infra disruptors, therefore we need to constantly invent and push the current quo to be relevant. We must establish a healthy discomfort with the status quo, acquire the capacity to notice emerging trends faster than our competitors, make quick judgments, and be flexible enough to adapt new methods of doing business to effectively embrace constant change.

"As the first hr person to join teachmint technologies, i was responsible for building systems and procedures to support the company's growth over the full employee lifecycle"

We do this by prioritizing people over strategy and building high-engagement teams that draw on the collective intellect of the business, emphasize corporate values, and allow for creative solutions to develop on their own.

In Your Opinion What Are Some Of The Most Significant Milestones That You Have Achieved Throughout Your Professional Journey? What Has Been The Driving Force Behind Your Success As A Professional?

My area of expertise is creating interventions that encourage innovative thinking and promote a company's fundamental values across the whole organization. Regardless of the situation, I take great satisfaction in helping teams achieve success by promoting a shift away from linear thinking into a mentality of complexity. When you have a team that is highly engaged and agile, they will always make you proud, and you can be certain that you will achieve your goals no matter how big or little they are.

Moreover, my family has always been the driving force for me and continues to encourage and support me in my pursuit of excellence.

Drawing From Your Experience As A Business Leader, What Would Your Advice Be To Young Women And Girls Who Also Aspire To Become Business Leaders And Entrepreneurs In The Future?

In every workplace, men and women have the same rights and responsibilities (barring a few where physical strength is required). Bearing a kid is an extra burden that falls on your shoulders as a woman. When you become a mother, your body will alter and your new baby will require your attention. If you've had to take a hiatus from your work because of a pregnancy, marriage, or other family obligation, don't feel guilty about it. Never forget that your timely breaks will make you more stable and happier today, as well as more empathic and involved in your future employment.
