1. Give us brief details about your educational and professional background. What inspired you to establish one advertising & communication?

I achieved my bachelor of science and MBA (Marketing) in the mid and late 1980s from Pune University, after finishing my schooling in Nashik. My background in science and marketing gave me the impetus to excel in the advertising arena. I have had many stepping stones in my career journey through my first jobs which were at Cadila Cosmetics (Now known as Zydus wellness), Symphony Comfort Systems as Group Brand Manager and MAA Communications as Branch Head. Therefore, my collective experiences at these reputed companies set me up perfectly to launch ONE. That ONE step we took, almost two decades ago is now a glorious journey filled with unshakable client trust, mega brands, breakthrough campaigns and more.

2. Brief us about the spectrum of services that your company offers? How are you leveraging the best of these elements across your company’s operations?

ONE provides 360° strategy and communication solutions to a wide range of regional, domestic and international clientele from diverse industries including pharmaceutical, healthcare, Industrial, FMCG, Real Estate, Finance, PSUs, Government of Gujarat, MediaHouses and more. Over the years, we have worked with highly reputed brands like Coca-Cola, N.K.Proteins (Tirupati Edible Oils), Gruh Finance, Rasna, Adani Gas, Kitchen Express, Shalby Hospitals, HCG Hospitals, N. H. Hospitals, Sandesh (News Paper) and many more. ONE caters to all of Intas’ marketing and communication needs through a wide range of services which includes Corporate communication, Strategic Brand Communication, Print, Production & Fabrications, Management of events, exhibitions & activations, Digital communication, Film production, PR & Media Management.

Over the years, with the support of ONE’s outstandingly skilled and hardworking team, we have overseen and overcome several challenging and breakthrough projects through tactful management, dynamic action and extensive expertise.

3. What were the major challenges that you encountered during your journey at one advertising & communication and how did you manage to overcome them?

The earliest challenge we faced was earning the trust of the Intas marketing team, who were our first and most important clients. There was a little resistance to our approach in the initial stages since they were comfortable working with external agencies. However, once they got a better idea of our work rate, quality deliveries and commitment, they have placed their total trust in us ever since. Over the years, we have justified this trust by building clutter breaking campaigns for their focus brands, which have helped them claim more market share in a very crowded market.

The most recent challenge we have faced was COVID19pandemic, but we thrived by promptly adapting resources and capabilities to excel in the market dynamics in the new normal. This includes Mega Events, Mega Brand campaigns, Government Election Campaigns, Celebrity Campaigns, Internal Campaigns and so on. One of the most challenging things in advertising is to hire and retain the right talent and at ONE I have ensured 90% talent retention at the key position, over the last 18 years.

4. Share some of the milestones achieved By one advertising & communication which bestowed you with utmost satisfaction?

Owing to our continual expansion through service verticals like digital marketing, event management, film production, media and PR, and print and production, we have built many brands from scratch. There are many brands like Tirupati, GruhFinance (Now Bandhan Bank), Milcent, Adani Gas and others that began their journey with us in either a very nascent stage or a struggling phase and after their association with us, they have gone on to either become market leaders or brands of considerable prominence. A critical milestone within this journey was the initiation of a non-pharmaceutical wing, which helped us spread out our creative wings. Another milestone was acquiring the GACL account because that opened our doors to the PSU accounts and we achieved three times our financial goal for the year. The next one was to get an opportunity to work for the Government of Gujarat under the leadership of Modiji which we cherish as one of our imperative accomplishments.
