Nakshi Satra: Building India's Preventive Wellness Movement

Nakshi Satra
Founder & CEO, Inha Wellness
Mumbai

In India’s rapidly evolving wellness landscape, women founders are redefining health beyond clinics and prescriptions, building purpose-driven enterprises rooted in empathy, lived experience, and holistic healing. Among them is Nakshi Satra, Founder & CEO of Inha Wellness, whose journey into wellness was not a planned career shift but a deeply personal transformation.

Trained initially in finance, Nakshi’s pivot was shaped by life-altering experiences, witnessing complex relationship dynamics growing up, recognising the absence of mental health conversations in earlier years, and most profoundly, losing her mother to a rare form of cancer. Searching for answers beyond conventional medicine, she began exploring what truly supports emotional resilience, awareness, and long-term well-being.

That search led her across the world, studying alternative healing sciences, mindfulness practices, meditation, neuro-coaching, nervous system regulation, psychology, and human behaviour. Immersed in both ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic frameworks, Nakshi recognized a critical gap: while wellness knowledge was abundant, it lacked structure and accessibility for individuals beginning their healing journey.

This insight became the foundation of Inha Wellness. Drawing from her own transformation, she built a structured, guided, and integrative wellness ecosystem, bringing diverse practices under one roof and enabling individuals to embark on a step-by-step journey toward mental, emotional, and physical balance.

What’s the underlying idea behind establishing Inha Wellness? Highlight the various areas of expertise that the venture specialises in.

The core idea behind establishing Inha Wellness was to move the conversation beyond sick care and corrective wellness to preventive well-being. While solutions often appear after a problem arises, be it health, finances, or major life challenges, we believe there’s a way to stay ahead of the curve. Inha focuses on building awareness and resilience before situations become irreversible. Along with corrective support, our larger purpose is to promote preventive wellness by equipping individuals with the right tools and techniques early on.

Our expertise spans healing, mindfulness, and meditation practices, including theta healing, neuro-coaching NLP, elements of Chinese medicine, and ancient wisdom systems. In total, we integrate over 35 certified modalities to create structured, personalized wellness strategies.

How does Inha Wellness take a proactive approach to mental wellbeing?

At Inha Wellness, we conduct experiential workshops rather than purely informative ones. These sessions allow participants to truly experience the techniques we work with, while also learning how to use them for self-help. Beyond workshops, we engage with individuals one-on-one, offering a detailed mind-body-soul assessment. This helps them understand their conscious and subconscious patterns, emotional states, and the root causes behind what they are experiencing and how these emotions manifest across different areas of life. Based on this in-depth report, we create a personalised wellness strategy. The process moves backward to uncover root causes and forward toward integrating lasting change into everyday life.

What key responsibilities do you shoulder at Inha Wellness?

I am deeply involved across almost every aspect of Inha Wellness. I work closely with clients through one-on-one sessions, remain actively engaged in training processes, and mentor experts who join us as in-house practitioners. Alongside this, I spend significant time researching and developing new wellness techniques, studying emerging tools that can support individuals and groups more effectively. I also focus on geographical expansion and market penetration. If I am not in sessions, my time is largely devoted to research and innovation.

What impact has Inha Wellness created over the last 12 years? What have been some of the key milestones achieved by the company?

Over the last decade, we have touched the lives of over 10,000 clients and maintained a consistent 40% year-on-year growth for the past five years. That reflects not just impact, but our ability to structure wellness into a sustainable business. Our methodology and process have delivered a success rate of over 95 percent, validating the strength of our wellness framework. We have received recognitions from BW Wellbeing, including the 40 Under 40 honour and being named among the Top 10 Wellness Companies. We also pioneered wellness retreats in 2021 and built strategic partnerships with EO, YPO, and similar platforms. Balancing impact-driven work with business growth is challenging, but it’s a holistic and future-ready way to scale.

What is your vision and roadmap for the future?

I intend for Inha Wellness to touch a billion lives, helping individuals navigate their life experiences and achieve meaningful breakthroughs within six to twelve weeks, which is the typical duration of our programs.

Our focus is on helping people operate at their optimum mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. At the core, we aim to promote purpose-driven living that supports longevity, well-being, and resilience, while creating trauma-free, safe environments where individuals can grow, heal, and truly excel.

What has been your guiding leadership philosophy as a business leader?

My leadership philosophy is rooted in understanding the human psyche and behaviour, which naturally shapes how I lead. My first focus is on people management, continually evolving, learning, and nurturing relationships. The second is developing a healthy, conscious relationship with money, because at the end of the day, every business comes down to numbers and how you engage with them. The third pillar is authenticity paired with innovation. I believe the two go hand in hand, innovating consistently while staying true to the essence, purpose, and vision of what you are building. This balance is what helps me stay grounded amid constant change.
