Take US Through Your Educational And Professional Background.

I was always studious and ambitious as a child that made me pursue 2 degree simultaneously and have completed my Bachelors in Commerce(B.com) along with Company Secretary degree followed by LLB.As on date I am a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa and Associate member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Besides, I believe in acquiring knowledge regularly and keep myself updated, accordingly I am holding many certificates viz. Diploma in Legal Documentation (Real estate), Certificate on Intellectual Property Laws, Certificate on Arbitration Law and many more. I started my career in 2009 and always wanted to pursue my practice but thought of taking industry experience and came across an opportunity to work with a reputed Real Estate Company as a Compliance Officer and Manager Legal where I have managed a big team and extensively dealt with Slum Projects, Redevelopment of Societies, Deemed conveyance, Mergers, Demerges, SEBI and Listing Compliances and more. Thereafter, I was clear about a subject I am passionate about. I started my practice in Property Law, Documentation, Deeds & Conveyancing andCorpo-rateLawin2013,in the name and style MNA& Associates that is how my firm came in to existence.

In Your Opinion What Factors Set MNA & Associates Apart From Its ContemporarIes In The Industry? What Is The Firm’s USP?

Drafting Deeds and Documents and Corporate Advisory is the soul of our practice and we exclusively deal in it unlike others where it is an ancillary part of the firm. Focus on a particular area enables us to have a niche against other contemporaries in the industry. At MNA when we craft any document or advise clients we ensure that complete life cycle of business/ transaction is taken care of and not just format based documents are delivered.

We believe in delivering custom solutions, tailored to you - your industry, your culture, your one-of-a-kind challenges as we believe each transaction is unique and one-size-fits-all approaches will never help to reach its full potential.

For me, my vision integrates the values I believe; we welcome all kinds of assignments. We do not size bias and treat each work as at par and undertake with utmost sincerity as we firmly believe “Aright start to small things creates big wonders in future”. We play a role of catalyst.

“I religiously follow the wise words of general george patton “never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity”

How Has Your Professional Growth Journey Been So Far? What Are The Different Facets Of Your Personality Or Your Leadership Style That Have Helped The Company Propel Further In Its Growth Journey?

Unofficially my professional journey started at my teenage when I use help my dad in his business where I use to look in finance and taxation thereafter along with my studies I did my internship and started my journey in2009 as a Compliance Officer and Manager Legal, in a reputed RealEstate Company-where I had a diversified profile which enable me to get hands on experience in Real estate laws, Deeds and Conveyancing and Corporate law.

In2013, I entered into a practice as Company Secretary, it was a tough call to leave a stable job with many good opportunities and entered into a practice especially when I had no mentor who can do hand holding but with firm determination, I started with a small desk and a laptop. I got my first client after 3 months. When I started my practice I discovered my new skills, new areas of Practice, new perceptions, developed expertise and there was a time when I wanted to expand my horizons and accordingly shift-ed my Practice from Practicing Company secretary to Advocates firm, which was very easy shift as my profile remained the same as I was already into core legal consultancy from day one. Between all situations whether professional or personal what kept me going was I was always focused on what I want from my practice and was pretty clear about my vision and values, which helped me to sail through this journey efficiently and cherry on the cake was/is always my team, my better half and my family who have contributed immensely to my growth journey without them it would have not been so easy.

My sincerity, Strategy and Solution driven attitude, timely delivery and good Business sense make me preferable amongst my clients as we can give the best advice or can craft a good transaction document only when we understand the life cycle of clients Business, which I am very good at and diversified experience helps me to address any documents from all facets.

What Is The Roadmap Ahead For Your Professional Journey? Are You Looking To Focus On Any Specific Areas Or Niche Capabilities In The Days To Come?

I intend to create awareness about how much it’s import-ant to put terms and conditions in writing, especially amongst start-ups and amongst unorganized sectors, which will not only enable one to protect its rights in long run but will also enable one to run its business with best governance practice. Megha shall be focusing on mediation and conciliation (including international) and Mergers and Acquisitions in days to come.
