Brief Us On Your Educational And Professional Background. What Prompted You To Establish A Business Research & Consulting Firm?

Okay! I am a proud KVian. I come from a town called Itarsi in Madhya Pradesh. After my schooling, I moved to Indore in 2009 for my graduation. I did my graduation in e-commerce from IMS DAVV and after that, I did my MBA in Marketing Management from IMS, DAVV. I have started my research career from a data collection internship for a food directory, in 2011. Though my job there was to just collect data and put it in excel, I was always working an extra mile by delivering important insights to my managers out of the data I have collected. Although in between I pursued other internships in Sales, Advertising, Accounting, etc, Research was something that is captivating my mind. It was in 2014 when I got a job in a research-based startup, which has proven a breakthrough to my career. And after that, I never looked back.

In Your Opinion, What Opportunities Does The Industry Offer To Brands In The Niche Of Market Research?

If we talk of opportunities, the industry is data driven in many terms, and the entire world is running after data. Hence, the industry holds a strong future. People however are often confusing Big Data Analytics and Market Research. But I believe that no machine can completely replace human intelligence. Big data can of course provide a trend, but it is not able to tell why it has happened. Market research has the potential to solve specific problems. Without context and connection, big data is baseless. I see big data as strong support for market research and not as a competition.

Business Research & Consulting has a huge market outside India and is taken very seriously by the companies there. However, Indian firms are a little reluctant to invest in Research. We as Indians have a habit of saving money by doing it all by ourselves. We are always driven towards hard work rather than smart work. I believe this one is a major constraint in the growth of any service industry in India. However, the industry offers huge potential in regions like the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Hence these are our major client base.

As already mentioned I have started my career from a startup, hence I have always been prepared for the challenges that a startup faces, especially in terms of managing its people. My professional journey doesn’t have much of a struggle as I always feel that I chose the field I was made for. As far as my leadership is concerned, along with the company’s progress, I always try to motivate my people to grow individually. I always consider my employees as a product of the company, as I believe where ever they will be in future the strong base of their training should be reflected from their work and personality. Also, our work is more dependent on team interactions, hence I always like to keep the office environment a little casual and interactive.

What Is The Roadmap Ahead For Your Professional Journey As A Business Consultant?

Consulting is a field that demands continuous efforts in terms of your knowledge and brainstorming. Hence, I always try to strengthen my academics by learning the latest tools and techniques of market research. Shortly, I could see a huge potential in data, hence focusing to enhance the company’s capabilities towards data analytics and tailor-made solutions. Also, as I already said startups are going to be our prime focus, so we will be working in that direction. We aim to become the strongest support systems to the startups who, like us are trying to create their niche in their respective areas. We strive to help these firms better understand their customers and act accordingly.
