Dr Sravani Reddy G
Founder, Soprav Healthcare Consulting
Hyderabad
In India’s volatile healthcare landscape, innovation and impact are the need of the hour. Hence, credible change is often led by those who take the risk to walk on an unconventional path. This is where Soprav Healthcare Consulting's Founder Dr Sravani Reddy G outperforms as a contemporary healthcare leader, defying societal norms.
Based in Hyderabad, Dr Sravani is a first-generation doctor in her family. Driven by curiosity beyond prescriptions, she always wanted to do more. Beginning her promising career in family medicine and Diabetes Management, she ventured out on a multifaceted excursion across healthcare management and integrative medicine.
Dr Sravani’s career has never followed the beaten path. Making rounds of private hospitals, startups, and international projects, she shed light on gaps in terms of building and delivering value based healthcare. While most saw problems, she saw patterns which sparked the genesis of Soprav Healthcare Consulting, a boutique healthcare consulting firm, built with the intention of enabling meaningful growth, rooted in the Italian word ‘Sopravvivenza’ meaning 'Survival'. With her determined persistence, she bootstrapped the company into a trusted name.
Soprav Healthcare Consulting thrives on three pillars, i.e., investment strategy for early-stage ventures, market entry and growth planning, and digital transformation in Healthcare Consulting industry. Today, Soprav Healthcare Consulting is an extension of Dr Sravani’s mission to make healthcare more inclusive and impactful.
Led by a belief in creating space for the human story, Dr Sravani extended her role from mentoring founders and building impact-driven collaborations to writing her upcoming book, Ungrief, a deeply personal exploration of emotional healing within the healthcare story.
In an exclusive conversation with Women Entrepre neurs Review, Dr Sravani shares how she turned her vi sion into a force of change.
Take us through your educational journey. Which particular moments have been turning points in your journey so far?
I’m a first-generation doctor in my family, which in itself shaped much of my journey. I pursued my MBBS with a specialisation in Family Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Diabetes Management from the UK. Over time, I realised my curiosity extended beyond clinical care into how healthcare is delivered, managed, and improved.
That curiosity led me to pursue an MBA in Healthcare Management from BITS Pilani and a Senior Executive Program in Advanced Healthcare Management at the Indian School of Business (ISB). I also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics from NLSIU, Bangalore.
Each step in my career has been a turning point, but perhaps the most personal one is the journey I’ve taken with grief and healing, which I’m now capturing in my upcoming book Ungrief. Born out of lived experience, this book merges my work in the field of mental health and my understanding of how personal loss shapes professionals, especially those in caregiving roles.
At heart, I’m both a physician and a business leader, committed to building meaningful, sustainable, and affordable healthcare models
What inspired you to establish Soprav Healthcare Consulting, and what are its core focus areas?
As someone who transitioned from clinical practice into healthcare strategy and consulting, I saw the challenges startups and health ventures face, not just in funding or tech integration, but in navigating the entire lifecycle from ideation to impact. Soprav Healthcare Consulting was born out of that insight.
At its core, Soprav Healthcare Consulting is a boutique healthcare consulting firm focused on three pillars, namely early-stage investment and funding strategies, market entry and growth planning, and digital transformation in healthcare. We support organisations in becoming investor-ready, help address commercialisation hurdles, and enable meaningful scale, especially for ventures that are building with purpose.
What have been some significant aspects of your professional journey?
Working with boards, founders, and startups early in my career helped me understand how healthcare decisions are made, not just clinically, but strategically. That exposure sharpened my ability to see both the medical and managerial sides of the equation.
Another defining aspect has been working with digital health tools, from EMRS and EHRS to e-learning platforms for medical education and telehealth models. I also conceptualised and helped launch OJASKA, an integrative healthcare platform that brings together multiple systems of medicine, a reflection of my belief in inclusive care models.
What challenges do you face as a healthcare leader, and how do you overcome them?
Being a woman leader and a first-generation doctor turned entrepreneur comes with its own unique challenges. It wasn’t easy to shift from a clinical path to business leadership, especially in a traditional patriarchal healthcare ecosystem. There was no template to follow.
Entrepreneurship is a constant test of resilience. Being a solo woman founder trying to build something unconventional meant I had to prove myself every step of the way. What helped me was unwavering belief, the ability to learn fast, and the grit to keep showing up. You give your best, perform consistently, and take ownership. But the truth is, the system isn’t always fair. And acknowledging that is part of the process too.
How do you juggle multiple roles at Soprav Healthcare Consulting while focusing on its core expertise?
I’m the ‘Chief of Everything’ at Soprav Healthcare Consulting, from taking client calls and designing strategy to managing finance, marketing, and operations. That’s what building from the ground up looks like.
Wearing many hats also keeps me rooted in the company’s vision. It helps me stay close to what works and what doesn’t. While there’s always the temptation to chase scale quickly or say yes to everything, I’ve learned to stay focused. As we grow, we’ll expand. But right now, staying true to our core is non-negotiable.
Looking back, what has been your core leadership philosophy and success mantra?
I don't measure success in traditional terms. Right now, success is stability, bringing Soprav Healthcare Consulting to a point where it is sustainable, impactful, and consistent. Scaling will come after that.
My mantra has always been simple, ‘You are enough. Keep going’. I believe in showing up with integrity, learning constantly, and building with intention. That’s what leadership means to me. Frugality, hardwork, consistency and innovation, I believe personally, are my focuses as an entrepreneur.
