Founder, Casa Exotique

Embodying luxury and timeless style in interior designs has become increasingly important for creating spaces that exude elegance and sophistication, while also being able to stand the test of time. This is why many designers aim to incorporate elements of luxury and timelessness into their work. One such designer is Bhawana Bhatnagar, who founded Casa Exotique with the same goal in mind. By infusing her designs with a sense of exclusivity, longevity, and brand identity, Bhawana creates interiors that are both visually appealing and valuable. Her designs cater to high-end residential and commercial properties, reflecting her commitment to embodying luxury and timeless style in all her work.

Bhawana's philosophy centers around providing her clients with an unforgettable experience. She understands that exceptional design goes beyond aesthetics, and is committed to creating spaces that make her clients feel something special. Drawing from her extensive knowledge of interior design history, Bhawana weaves together the cultural influences of countries like Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Turkey, Morocco, and beyond to create harmonious and unique spaces.

Her designs are like a symphony by Mozart, with each element working together in perfect harmony to create a truly memorable experience for anyone who enters the space. By blending cultures and styles seamlessly, Bhawana creates spaces that are not only beautiful but also tell a story, making her designs truly exceptional.

Below is an excerpt of Bhawana Bhatnagar’s exclusive interaction with Women Entrepreneur magazine.

What are some important features of your expertise as an interior designer?

We provide our customers with a complete service, beginning with the conceptualization phase and ending with a fully operational product or service. In our field, this means that designers must take into account manufacturing constraints while drafting new ideas. As such, everything ought to be at our disposal. Thus, we provide everything, even if it means going to great lengths to get it from across the globe or making specific adjustments to suit each client.

“Casa exotique was founded on the premise that there was a need for a specialized service catering to clients in search of uniquely crafted products and individualized solutions”

What motivated you to establish Casa Exotique? Tell us about the underlying idea behind the venture and some of its primary areas of specialization.

To bring the most immediate benefit to others, I decided to enter the field of design. Casa Exotique was founded on the premise that there was a need for a specialized service catering to clients in search of uniquely crafted products and individualized solutions.

Tell us about the most crucial challenges you encounter as an interior designer. How do you overcome the roadblocks that you face?

One of the biggest challenges we have to overcome is the fact that it's not always easy to put well-conceived ideas into practice once you get to the site. Hence, the greatest difficulty is in carrying out the plan while simultaneously ensuring high quality. As a result, this is where our worldwide exposure and IB come into play; after that, we essentially acquire or have the modification done internationally for our clients.

Tell us about some of the key milestones you have achieved throughout your professional journey. What has been your success mantra?

If I had to choose one accomplishment from my professional and entrepreneurial career thus far, it would be starting Casa Exotique and growing it into one of the best design firms in Delhi NCR.

Just putting in the time and effort is the secret to my success. For the most part, we can't just force our design preferences on the client; instead, we need to listen carefully to what they need. Furthermore, the point at which their requirements are being adequately met is also important.

How do you foresee the Indian interior design landscape evolving going forward? Which industry trends will create the most significant impact?

A rising educated populace, access to information from across the world, and a rising quality of living all point to tremendous opportunity. There is a lot of infrastructure development taking on in the country, and demands are rising in tandem with the real estate market. So, I anticipate that realistic interior design will have a significant impact in the coming years.
