India is home to the world’s most expansive reservoir of skilled and unskilled manpower, and women form an equal part of this tapped and untapped demographic. With time women have overcome societal and structural odds to foray into varied fields. Be it technology or culinary arts, astrophysics or artistry, Indian women have made their presence felt in all spheres of work.

The field of marketing has been one of the most welcoming sectors for women professionals. According to data from Linkedin, women account for 60% of all marketing professionals. Not only at entry level and mid-tier marketing positions, but women have made it big as CMOs too. Across the world’s leading companies women CMOs are almost at par with their male counterparts accounting for almost 45 percent (near to half) of the total CMO roles.

Leveraging their proficient business and marketing women CMOs have been multiplying their firms’ accomplishments, helping companies expand their market share multitude times and scaling along their product & services portfolio.

In a bid to celebrate women CMOs and their exceptional work, the current edition of Women Entrepreneur India magazine brings to you a list of some of the most prolific women CMOs from across India.

Prachi has a Master’s degree from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, and over 12 years of extensive experience working as a marketing leader in the fashion & apparel industry.
