VIT: Seeking & Adopting Innovative Methods To Improve Quality Of Higher Education

The success of any nation is shouldered by the people of the nation. Educating them adequately and making them adept to not only create success for their individual self but for the nation as a whole is a major responsibility. In India this responsibility is ably carried out by a plethora of educational institutions. These seats of higher learning are not only creating successful professionals but also aiding in India’s trans formation as a global superpower.
The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is one of these institutions that has been imparting quality and holistic education to a plethora of young Indian minds. Established under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, VIT was founded in 1984. In 2001, The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development conferred University status on Vellore Engineering College.
VIT was established with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards. It persistently seeks and adopts innovative methods to improve the quality of higher education on a consistent basis.

She is a distinguished figure in the automotive industry, renowned for her exceptional leadership and deep industry expertise. As the Managing Director of Classic Kia in Uttarakhand, she navigated significant challenges, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Joining her is Himaja D, Co-Founder, Bluetree. An alumnus of VIT, Himaja is the co-founder of a global IT company specializing in workforce optimization and management. She holds expertise in a wide range of services, including business analysis, design specification, profitability analysis, and the ability to present solutions to both non-technical and technical audiences.
Vyshnavi Dabbir, Founding Member, Clazar is another alumnus of the prestigious VIT. Vyshnavi is an accomplished professional with a diverse and impressive background. Over a decade in the marketing field, Vyshnavi has effortlessly navigated both the B2B and B2C domains, gaining invaluable experience in startups and mid-sized enterprises.
Sweena Karnani, Co-Founder of Myra Foundation & Promoter at Synnat Pharmaceuticals also joins the coveted list of prolific VIT graduates. Sweena holds a postgraduate degree in Medical Genetics. With a decade of experience in education and CSR, she blends innovation and compassion to drive lasting change.
Another accomplished woman leader joining the list is Johnsi Jayasingh, Co-founder & CIO, Share Point Designs. An alumnus of the VIT, Johnsi has rich experience working in TCS and GeometricPLM. Today, as the Co-founder and CIO of Share Point Designs, she is combining aspects of design with user experience to create interfaces that provide what the users need, are intuitive, and produce an overall positive experience for the users.
