American author, founder of Collegiate EmPowerment, creator of The Inspiration Book Series, Anthony J. D’Angelo has famously said, “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” For someone who is credited to spark a revolution in American higher education Anthony J. D’Angelo had a deep understanding of learning. It is only those who keep learning, who actually grow and evolve in life.
TED, a nonpartisan nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas is an organization committed to helping common people across the world, learn and grow. Founded in 1984 as a conference where technology Entertainment and Design came together, TED today has evolved to become a facilitator of thought and idea exchange through the world.
One of TED’s most recognized projects is TEDx, a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and discover “ideas worth spreading.” It primarily conducts TEDx events across the world, with a vision to bring thought leaders to speak to local communities around the globe. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations in their communities.
In the current edition of Women Entrepreneur magazine, we introduce you to some inspirational women who have not only achieved great success in their respective fields, but have also given TEDx talks to further disseminate their ideas and thoughts.
