IIM B fostering Excellence in Management, Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Educational institutions are highly revered across all cultures and countries owing to the key role they play in the growth and development of society. One of the most coveted educational institutions in India is the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a leading graduate school of management in Asia.
The institute came into being in 1973 with the aim of creating a breed of highly trained and skilled indigenous management talent.
Today, the revered institution is treading forward with the motto tejasvinavadhitamastu, which translates to `let our study be enlightening'. IIM B envisions being a global, renowned academic institution fostering excellence in management, innovation and entrepreneurship for business, government and society.
Armed with 105 full-time faculty members, the institution takes in close to 1,200 students across various degree-granting programmes and nearly 5,000 annual Executive Education participants. A large number of recognized business leaders, entrepreneurs and achievers have walked the iconic halls of this institution.
The current edition of WE magazine brings to you some such talented women leaders who are alumnus of IIM B. One such name is Ritika Dinodia, Partner, Ace Gifting Solutions. After completing MCA, Ritika went on to start ACE Gifting Solutions with the objective of rewriting the rules of corporate gifting in India. Speaking about her IIM B experience, she says, "For me, the best way to recognize someone is not through rewards but by making them `future ready' IIM Bangalore was that recognition for me. It was not based on my metrics but on my business, my venture was selected to be a part of IIM B”.
Similarly Saumya Misra, Founder, Avataar Skincare Technologies says, "The cutthroat competition within the campus shaped my personality, fuelled my ambition, and helped me build a strong network". Saumya is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, and is the Founder of a skincare platform built with a vision to transform the Indian beauty market through standardized & tech-enabled services, providing the best door-to-door skincare solutions.
We also feature tech evangelist and a leader with over twenty years of experience in the IT & Cloud industry, Indo Aromal, CEO, Carmatec IT Solutions. She says, "The peer learning and peer network from IIM is also a very strong community that continues to help and we definitely get a lot of value add from there as well".
The issue also tells the success story of Sreesha Sreenivasan, Co-Founder, Health Revolution. Sreesha completed a program in healthcare management at IIM-B after graduating from The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development. She is joined by Anupam Sharma, Co-Founder, Etrends Technologies who is an Operations and Finance expert with more than 23 years of experience. Last up we have woman-mother- scientist-entrepreneur, Dr. Sumona Karjee Mishra, Founder, Prantae Solutions. In the journey, she has generated 4-patents, 3-platform technologies to revolutionize early-diagnosis.
