Women Leaders Ace the Art of Balancing the Multiplicity of Thoughts
Leadership is an art and science of getting things done with confidence and determination. Women traditionally have been delivering and balancing social roles with great conviction.
If you compare the workplace as a large social network of individuals with diverse interests and backgrounds. Understanding the stakeholders deeply and engaging with them at every step is an effective business strategy.
Women leaders ace the art of balancing the multiplicity of thoughts and scoping the communication to get the required task done by using both social and emotional intelligence.
Delivering Cross-Company Leadership Development Projects
In my experience at Group Learning Academy, I was responsible for delivering cross-company leadership development projects. This required multiple levels of approvals and sometimes a lack of resources could jeopardise the project delivery. Understanding the key stakeholders and customising the communication by projecting the key outcomes helped me in influencing the decision-making processes and obtaining timely sign offs to drive the leadership development agenda.
Advice For Aspiring Women Leaders
Think about their career in the long-term capacity before making any new decisions.
It is very important to plot the career path and have a mental picture of the key milestones about each project that they are working on, and how this is contributing towards their overall career goals.
Keep the motivation very high irrespective of the external circumstances. Sometimes tough situations (personally or professionally) can cause significant derailment. Don’t let the temporary phenomena impact the long-term dream.
Always invest in yourself. Advance your knowledge and skills, and become very mindful of time wasters. By protecting your time, you will reward yourself disproportionately.
Wishing all the women leaders, a very happy and satisfying celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
