Women’s Interpersonal Skills, Empathy, Involving Others, Dedication, & Commitment Create Success

Some qualities that women have more of are interpersonal skills, empathy, involving others, dedication, and commitment. In today’s era, the need for effective leadership requires more of these qualities since we are working in times of stress, competition, and ambiguity. By proactively embracing these qualities and bringing them into the way we lead, we create a new workplace environment.

When Initiative Humility & Courtesy Worked Wonders

Our organization was on the verge of getting a very big order from a client. At the last moment, we were informed that the order has been given to a rival company since they have a better brand image. I went to our SPOC at the client site and said that it’s your right to choose your learning partner. But I want you to give us one pilot batch, and you see the effectiveness of how we deliver it. Then we will go with whatever you choose. I think the client agreed since I spoke with humility and courtesy. Luckily the batch went off very well and we then got the entire order which helped us immensely in building our reputation in the market.

Advice For Aspiring Women Leaders

Cultivate a sense of purpose in whatever you do. Identifying a larger vision of yourself and your contribution to the world brings a different quality of leadership to your role and work. Whatever you do then is linked to a bigger picture. You start believing in yourself and your ability to make a difference.
