5. Gowry Lekshmi
It started for Gowry Lekshmi at the age of 13 when her composition Sakhiye was selected into the Malayalam movie Casanovva, making her India's youngest composer. Born and trained in Carnatic music as a child, with a solid academic background in music, Gowry soon dabbled in singing, songwriting, and releasing independent productions.
Working with a fusion of classical influences and contemporary sounds, Gowry uses her songs and voice to illustrate her limitless diversity. The works of Gowry, happening both mechanically and on the indie scene, remain pristine inspirations for budding women in the Indian music spectrum.
