September 30th marked the begging of one of the most anticipated events in women’s global sports. As the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 began, we are seeing women’s cricket teams from across the world battling it out to be the ultimate champions.

Being hosted jointly by India and Sri-Lanka, the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is being played between eight teams.

The eight competing nations are India, Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The top players and skippers from each of these countries have joined in the quest to make their team the winners.

From the experienced Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to defending champion skipper, Alyssa Healy some of the most prolific cricketers have been bestowed with the honour of leading their respective teams in the ICC Women’s world cup 2025.
