Top 10 Indian Women Leaders in US - 2022
Nothing could be truer for the women entrepreneurs of today who are chartering unknown territories unabashedly and fearlessly. Be it in e-Commerce, education, investing, travel, fashion, retail, fitness, hiring, and anything and everything under the sun, they are proceeding with gumption and unbridled enthusiasm to change the world around them, make a difference with their ideas, seek solutions that have never been sought, fight diseases and social norms, run successful ventures and generate employment for many, and give rise to new sustainable ecosystems.
A brigade of Indian women CEOs and MDs have been inspiring generations of women to dream big and believe in themselves. From Capgemini to Tinder, a long list of Indian women are today leading global companies as CEOs, MDs and showing the entire world that women are equally capable of calling the shots and taking companies to newer heights under their leadership. Indian women are establishing their identity in varied spheres globally by heading several big industries, from beauty to technology, and everything in between. By breaking the glass ceiling of the male-dominated spheres across the globe, they are revolutionizing these spaces and making it more inclusive and accessible for women. These women are redefining gender stereotypes and work culture, thereby inspiring others to take up more such roles.
The 2020 US elections are turning historic for the Indian-American community, marking a first for the community in many instances. More than a dozen Indian-American people have won the elections, among those who won, six elected candidates are women. These six women elected to state legislatures are Jenifer Rajkumar to the New York State Assembly, Nima Kulkarni to the Kentucky State House, Kesha Ram to the Vermont State Senate, Vandana Slatter to the Washington State House, Padma Kuppa to the Michigan State House and Pramila Jayapal to the Washington statehouse.
