Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh praises 2023 IAS Batch for Gender Inclusivity

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, engaged in a thought-provoking and motivating interaction with the Officer Trainees (OTs) of the 2023 IAS batch that took place on April 20, 2025, at the Civil Services Officers' Institute (CSOI) in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
The interaction was a part of the Assistant Secretary Programme attached to IAS Officer Trainees to 46 Central Ministries for eight weeks, starting April 1 to May 30, 2025, and inspiring them to uphold integrity, accountability, and service. Dr. Jitendra emphasized technology, diversity, and contributing to India's vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, encouraging the trainees to stay ahead in their fields, contributing to public service.
The 2023 IAS batch achieved a historic 41 per cent women's representation, marking a significant step towards gender inclusivity in governance. out of 180 officer trainees, 74 are women in the history of the Indian Administrative Services. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh attributed this achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership, emphasizing the government's commitment to women-led initiatives and inclusive governance.
The Union Minister mentions, "The Prime Minister has always been a champion of women's empowerment. This record representation is a testament to his unwavering support for inclusive and progressive governance." He further stated, "The programme has brought a resurgence of confidence among officers. During the pandemic, many of these officers performed remarkably when called upon for district-level crisis management."
