SAWiT.AI launches Largest Women-Only Generative AI Learning Challenge

SAWiT.AI has launched the world's largest AI challenge to boost India's economy by increasing women's workforce participation. The initiative aims to use artificial intelligence to find innovative solutions to address barriers preventing women from entering the workforce. The challenge will focus on areas such as education, workplace safety, gender bias, flexible working conditions, and childcare support.
SAWiT.AI is a joint effort driven by SAWiT (South Asia Women in Tech) and GUVI. It is a $550 billion initiative, that aims to equip 500,000 Indian women with Generative AI skills. It is all set to launch on September 21, 2024, and will become the world's largest women-only Generative AI Learning Challenge that aims to bridge the gender gap in the workforce and make India a distinguished advisory council. The initiative has been supported by a distinguished advisory council, including HCL Tech's Chairman Roshni Nadar Malhotra, acclaimed actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Senior Leader at Tata Consultancy Services Farzana Haque.
SAWiT.AI will collaborate with government bodies, private companies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations to ensure success. The winning solutions will be implemented on a large scale, enhancing women's workforce participation. The initiative aims to unlock economic potential, empower women, and promote gender equality.
The global demand for AI talent is growing, but a skills gap threatens this growth. SAWiT.AI equips women with marketable AI skills, boosts career adaptability, and contributes to real-world AI applications.
