Rachana Panda Takes Charge as Bayer's Head Communication, South Asia

Bayer, a German-based multinational pharmaceutical and life sciences company appoints Rachana Panda as Vice-President and Country Head for Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability for South Asia. Being part of the Bayer's South Asia Leadership Team, she would work across all of Bayer's businesses in the region, alongside she would associate with global teams to provide impetus to the company's multiple initiatives in India. 

Narain, Senior Bayer Representative for South Asia and Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Bayer CropScience Limited says, “At Bayer, we continue to build on our long legacy of over 100 years as a trusted partner for both India and South Asia. As we work towards delivering on our vision of ‘Health for all, hunger for none’, we are delighted to welcome Rachana on board. With her vast experience across sectors, she will play a pivotal role in enabling Bayer to achieve its commitments to support society and business growth in the region.“ 

In her previous role, Rachana served as the Chief Communication Officer of GE South Asia. Throughout her career, she has worked with companies such as Alstom, Alcatel and UTStarcom.

Commenting on her new role, Rachana says, “I am excited to join Bayer with its rich legacy globally of translating its vision to reality for the benefit of society at large. I look forward to playing an integral part in this growth journey.”

Bayer is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. It is headquartered in Leverkusen. Bayer was established in Barmen in 1863 as a dyestuffs factory, its first and best-known product was aspirin. The company's areas of business include human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products; agricultural chemicals, seeds, and biotechnology products.
