MWCD Recognizes 200+ Field Functionaries at Republic Day Ceremony

• Over 200 field functionaries were honored at the Republic Day Ceremony.
• Special Guests explored New Delhi’s landmarks from 24th to 27th January.
• On 25th January 2025, Smt. Annpurna Devi hosted a dinner for the Special Guests.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, hosted over 200 field functionaries and their spouses or companions as Special Guests at the Republic Day Ceremony on 26th January 2025 on Kartavya Path. These individuals, representing various Ministry initiatives such as Anganwadi Workers, Child Development Project Officers, and District Programme Officers, were selected for their exceptional contributions to the empowerment of women and children. Their presence at this prestigious event was a recognition of their dedication and hard work in furthering the Ministry’s mission to improve the well-being of women and children across India.
The Special Guests and their spouses or companions were hosted in New Delhi from 24th to 27th January 2025. Their participation in the Republic Day celebrations highlighted the Government’s commitment to promoting women’s leadership and their pivotal role in shaping a Viksit Bharat. During their stay, the guests explored India’s rich heritage and progress, visiting key landmarks such as the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, Kartavya Path, Akshardham Temple, and other historical sites. These visits not only celebrated the nation's achievements but also underscored the Government’s focus on empowering women and showcasing their contributions to national development.
On 25th January 2025, Smt. Annpurna Devi, Union Minister of WCD, hosted a dinner for all Special Guests and engaged in meaningful interactions with them during the event.
