MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0 selects Innovative Ideas of 3 Women Entrepreneurs

The MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0 (Women) was organized by the Ministry of MSME under the MSME Innovative Scheme where Woxsen University has selected three innovative ideas from the Host Institution (HI). Three women have been granted Rs 15 lakh each in financial assistance and participated through Woxsen University. In addition to this, the Trade Tower of the university has also been approved as an MSME Host Institute/Business Incubator by the Ministry of MSME, providing guidance and support to emerging entrepreneurs.

Woxsen organized the MSME Idea Hackathon in many regions of the nation, receiving 49 ideas, 10 selected for presentation, 5 recommended for funding, and 3 secured Rs 15 lakhs for each grant. The three ideas selected are listed below:

Indian Craft Connect: A BBA student at Woxsen University, Avani Reddy proposed an AI and AR-based platform that connects artisans and buyers. Indian Craft Connect uses modern technologies to highlight the rich culture and tradition of Indian Crafts.

Bandha: Woxsen University Associate Professor, Ar. Dhruma Bhavsar empowers wellbeing with deliberate movement. Bandha makes eco-friendly, reusable, and culturally relevant yoga gear out of leftover Indian fabrics.

Carbon Accounting & Mitigation Platform: Pro Zero Carbon & Wudbox Co-founder & CEO Charu Dhyani proposed a platform for carbon accounting and mitigation. The aim of this innovation is to tackle ecological issues and promote sustainability.

The MSME Idea Hackathon, a platform for empowering MSMEs has witnessed some significant ideas from the women entrepreneurs. Out of 18,888 submitted ideas, 7519 were selected by Host Institutes, 5676 were reviewed by the Domain Expert Selection Committee and lastly, the Project Monitoring & Advisory Committee approved funds for 397 ideas.
