The NTPC Ltd has hired its first all-female Engineering Executive Trainees (EETs) batch, the Ministry of Power announced on Thursday, "to reinforce its stand on diversity and inclusion."
The recruiting advertisement, which was released in April 2021, drew a huge response from NTPC. According to the ministry, the engineering graduates were chosen based on their GATE 2021 performance in the Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, and Instrumentation disciplines.
In the near future, the company envisions an all-female Operation Control Room at NTPC, pointing to a brighter future for women in the organisation.
