- The Women Entrepreneurs’ exhibition has been empowering women-owned businesses since 1987, and therefore it is one of the longest-standing platforms for women entrepreneurs in India
- This year's edition will include more than 280 women entrepreneurs from 31 cities in India
- The event showcases a fascinating combination of Indian traditional craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, gathering master artisans and weavers
Since its inauguration in 1987, the Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition has been a trendsetter in promoting Indian women entrepreneurs. The current year's event will see it at its most vibrant, with more than 280 women entrepreneurs coming from 31 Indian cities. There is something for everyone--be it a dynamic handpicked fashion, lifestyle, crafts, food, and sustainable design pavilion or ethereal artisan traditions and innovative design.
The jewel in the crown for 2025 is the opening of an international pavilion, managed by Afra World, with women entrepreneurs from the world over—quite a number of them making their first appearance in India. Such a global outreach gives the exhibition an added depth with its rich traditions in Indian heritage.
The event will highlight the skill of master craftspeople and traditional weavers from far-flung areas, along with handmade products of NGOs at Siliguri, Ganeshpuri (Palghar), Sujangarh, and Shekhawati—upholding and cherishing age-old processes with purpose and pride.
“Our exhibition is a powerful reflection of the unstoppable momentum behind women-led enterprises in India,” says Rajyalakshmi Rao, President of the IMC Ladies’ Wing. “It’s a rich tapestry of talent, ambition, and determination—and we’re proud to provide a platform that fuels this journey.”
Sustainability is in focus this year, with a high showing of vegan and environmentally-friendly labels, eco-print fabrics, and event decor planned keeping recycling and proper waste disposal in mind, says Juveca Panda Chheda, Co-Chairperson, exhibition Committee.
The gastronomic space introduces a new level of depth with regional and seasonal cuisine—such as Himachal Pradesh specialties—hailing India's culinary heritage.
The theme for this year has been inspired by the legendary artist Raja Ravi Varma, whose legendary representations of Indian womanhood portray the entrepreneurial spirit of today's entrepreneurs—strong, communicative, and visionary.
Organized by the IMC Ladies' Wing, an advocate of businesswomen since 1966, the Women Entrepreneurs' Exhibition has become one of the nation's most powerful platforms for women-owned businesses.
"More than a marketplace, this is," affirms Kalpana Shah, Chairperson, exhibition Committee. "It's a celebration of dreams and resilience and impactful purpose. 38 years of celebration, and we pay tribute to the collective strength, creativity, and sisterhood that define us."
